Summer Week 1
Fictures for tonight; Late Again vs Top Hats, Spare Set vs MI-II, Saxons vs Rum Heroes.
Well, despite several hours attempting to complete the transition from Winter to Summer, I'm afraid I am still nowhere near being able to get the league sheets to resemble what they should do - For a reason I can't explain, it is insistent that there are 10 teams taking part in the Summer league and so I've had to call in technical support (Nick) to try and work out what I'm doing wrong....
However, the one but I have got working is the score sheets and schedules, so we will have those this week if not the rest of the paperwork.
Anyway, to last weeks results. Spare Set got off to a flying start with a massive handicap score of 2130 to beat the unfortunate Saxons 8-0. Saxons total of 1992 was the second highest of any team. Rum Heroes are also off to a flyer with an 8-0 win over Late Again. An inspired Jill got MI-II off to a good start too with a 6-2 win over Top Hats despite having a blind.
Craig Fitzpatrick top scored with 257, 226, 200 for 683. The other 600 was bowled by Kevin Wallis - beating his best score from the Winter league in 1 week. Although missing out on a 600, the other bowler who beat their best score from the winter was Jill Stanford who managed 192, 122, 235 (!) for 557 scratch and 726 handicap.
High scratch games were bowled by Nick Peek (222) and Dan Shelton Smith (200). High handicap games were bowled by Wayne Puttick (243), Dave Gilbert (238 & 232), Mark Scott (236 & 232), Hasan Al-Ghusein (234) and Colin Woolley (232).
Jill walked away with the inconsistency award with a 113 pin variance - even Scott would be proud of that! - whilst Geoff Geraghty was the most consistent with just 8 pins between best and worst.
Hopefully all will be working normally in time for next weeks league sheets!.
Karl.
